‘Twin Peaks’ Icons Reunite for Psychological Nightmare ‘The Good Dark’

More than 35 years after Twin Peaks twisted TV into a fever dream, stars Sherilyn Fenn and Ray Wise are stepping back into the shadows. Their new film, The Good Dark, promises a descent into obsession, deception, and the bleeding edges of the human mind.

Written and directed by Hunter Lee Hughes, the psychological thriller follows world-renowned psychic Sue Penth and her husband Edward after he suffers a devastating medical setback. Drowning in hospital debt, the couple devises a scheme to exploit Sue’s high-paying clients—an act of desperation that spirals into something much darker.

Hughes began production this week, assembling a cast that includes Simon Lööf (Threesome), Rex Lee (Entourage), Gabe Armentano, Christopher Quartuccio, and Rebekah Brandes (Bellflower).

“Bringing Sherilyn and Ray together is a dream come true,” said Hughes. “Sherilyn’s raw emotion and unfiltered curiosity paired with Ray’s haunting energy will make them an unforgettable cinematic force.”

He added, “We’re also thrilled to have Rex and Simon on board. Rex brings sharp intellect and weary gravitas, while Simon’s piercing presence channels that old-school movie star intensity — the kind that burns through the screen.”

The Good Dark is produced by Hughes, Jason Daks, Bradley R. Bernstein, and Daniel Berilla, with Alan Pao (It Follows) serving as executive producer.

With its roots in psychological collapse and moral decay, The Good Dark looks ready to drag audiences into a place where guilt festers, reality fractures, and the light never reaches.
