Get ready to meet your next nightmare. Curry Barker, the filmmaker behind Milk and Serial, is bringing his latest terrifying feature, Obsession, to theaters on May 15, 2026, via Focus Features.

The film follows a hopeless romantic who breaks the mysterious “One Wish Willow” to win his crush’s heart—only to discover that getting exactly what he asked for comes with a dark and deadly price.

Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless, and Andy Richter star in the film, which Barker both wrote and directed.

Producing the film are James Harris (Teashop Productions), Haley Nicole Johnson (Under the Shell), and Christian Mercuri for Capstone Pictures.

Obsession is already being called a horror must-watch. In a 4-star TIFF review, the film was praised for turning a familiar Monkey’s Paw-style premise into a blood-soaked, nightmare-fueled journey filled with shocking twists and relentless terror.
