Supernatural Thriller ‘Banquet’ Adds ’28 Years Later’ Star Alfie Williams to Its Expanding Cast
28 Years Later breakout Alfie Williams is among the latest actors to join the cast of supernatural thriller Banquet, from The Platform director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia.
Also joining the ensemble are Corey Mylchreest (The Sandman), Finbar Lynch (Hedda, Unwelcome), and Olwen Fouéré (The Watchers, Mandy), adding to a lineup already led by Meghann Fahy (Drop).
Fahy stars as Jenny Cochrane, a woman whose seemingly perfect life is shattered when her estranged son returns, unearthing a terrifying secret buried deep in her bloodline. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the cast is rapidly shaping up to be a powerhouse of horror and thriller talent.
Gaztelu-Urrutia’s debut feature, The Platform, became one of Netflix’s all-time top ten most-watched films and recently spawned a sequel, setting high expectations for Banquet.
The film is based on an original screenplay by Sam Steiner (Fingernails) and produced by Lewis Taylor (Magna Studios), Maxime Cottray and Guy Danella (XYZ Films), Leonara Darby and James Harris (Obsession, Teashop Productions), alongside Grant S. Johnson (Project Infinity).
Executive producers include David Yates (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 & 2) through Wychwood Media, Florian Zeller (The Father), and Federica Sainte-Rose (Blue Morning Pictures).
Production is currently underway in the UK, with audiences eagerly awaiting this dark, suspense-filled addition to the supernatural horror landscape.
