The Menu review

The Menu and The Last Witch Hunter actress Aimee Carrero is stepping into the lead role of an intense new home invasion horror film from Lionsgate and Midnight Pictures, the horror label under Talking Pictures, according to Deadline.

The untitled thriller is now filming in Los Angeles, with Julian Labrádor directing and producing.

Carrero stars as Lorena Riveras, a mother consumed by the safety of her 12-year-old son following a recent accident. Their home’s security system becomes her lifeline—until it turns into their worst nightmare. When masked intruders break in, the cameras can only watch as a real-time siege unfolds, trapping mother and son in a desperate fight for survival.

The film is co-written by Labrádor and Whistle writer Owen Egerton, with revisions by Nathan Elston (Other Mommy).

Tabitha Shick produces for Talking Pictures alongside Andre Fonseca, while Jeff Robinov and Dan Clifton serve as executive producers.

Carrero, best known to horror fans for her role opposite Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy in The Menu, is about to face an even deadlier dinner guest — one that’s already inside the house.
