Claire Danes Faces Bloodlust in Netflix’s ‘The Beast in Me’

Claire Danes dives into madness and obsession in Netflix’s upcoming mystery thriller The Beast in Me, premiering November 13.

The eight-episode series follows Aggie Wiggs (Danes), a once-acclaimed author shattered by the death of her young son. Struggling to write again, she becomes fixated on her new neighbor Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys) — a powerful real estate mogul and former prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance.

What begins as curiosity turns into a dangerous obsession as Aggie hunts for the truth behind Nile’s dark past. But the closer she gets, the blurrier the line becomes between victim and predator — and her pursuit might cost her everything.

Brittany Snow plays Nile’s new wife, while Natalie Morales appears as Aggie’s ex-wife. The series also features Jonathan Banks, Deidre O’Connell, Kate Burton, and Bill Irwin in supporting roles.

Created by Gabe Rotter (The X-Files), the show is run by Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24) and directed by Antonio Campos (The Staircase). Executive producers include Jodie Foster, Conan O’Brien, Danes, Gordon, and Campos.

The Beast in Me promises a mix of psychological tension, grief, and bloodlust — where obsession becomes a weapon and every secret bleeds.
