Derry might look quaint, but horrors lurk beneath the surface… and Pennywise is back to remind us why. Following yesterday’s red band trailer, IGN has dropped a new teaser for HBO’s IT: Welcome to Derry, alongside a chilling new poster featuring the Hanlon family.

The eight-episode series premieres Sunday, October 26 at 9PM ET/PT on HBO and HBO Max, with new episodes streaming weekly until the season finale on December 14.

Serving as an expansion of Andy Muschietti’s IT films and based on Stephen King’s 1986 novel, the first season is set in 1962, with Muschietti directing multiple episodes himself.

Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise, joined by Jovan Adepo (The Stand), Taylour Paige (The Toxic Avenger), Chris Chalk (Gotham), James Remar (Dexter), Stephen Rider (Daredevil), Madeleine Stowe (Revenge), and Rudy Mancuso (The Flash).

The ensemble also includes Alixandra Fuchs (Boogeyman Pop), Kimberly Guerrero (Reservation Dogs), Dorian Grey (Star Trek: Discovery), Thomas Mitchell (Spiral: From the Book of Saw), BJ Harrison (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Peter Outerbridge (Saw VI), Shane Marriott (Fargo), Chad Rook (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City), Joshua Odjick (The Long Walk), and Morningstar Angeline (Echo).

The series is co-showrun by Jason Fuchs (It: Chapter Two) and Brad Caleb Kane (Crystal Lake), with Fuchs writing the teleplay for the first episode.

If renewed, Season 2 is set in 1935, and Season 3 in 1908, promising more terrifying dives into Derry’s dark past.
