“Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill” Actor, Michael Madsen, Dead at 67

Michael Madsen, best known for playing the cruel Mr. Blonde in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs, passed this morning. He was 67.

After declining the role of Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction, Madsen reunited with Tarantino on Kill Bill, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.

A regular in the indie horror world, Madsen’s genre roles include Species, Species II, BloodRayne, Scary Movie 4, Tooth and Nail, Piranhaconda, Megalodon, Croc, Lumberjack Man, Death Count, and Rock, Paper, Scissors.

His notable credits include Donnie Brasco, Sin City, Die Another Day, Thelma & Louise, Free Willy, WarGames, Wyatt Earp, The Doors, and “24.”

“In the last two years, Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film, including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions, and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life,” the actor’s reps told TMZ.

Madsen’s upcoming book, Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems, is scheduled to be published on May 26, 2026.
