Karma comes calling in the official trailer for I Know What You Did Last Summer, with the slasher sequel set to hit theaters July 18 via Sony.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. return as Julie James and Ray Bronson, reprising their iconic roles from the 1997 original. Hewitt even delivers her unforgettable scream — “What are you waiting for?!” — now echoing with a darker twist.

Joining the cast are Madelyn Cline (Outer Banks), Chase Sui Wonders (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid), Tyriq Withers (Him), and Sarah Pidgeon (The Wilds), playing a new group of friends whose reckless decision sets off a deadly chain of events.

After a tragic car accident, the five make a pact to hide what happened. But a year later, their secret refuses to stay buried. As a mysterious figure begins targeting them one by one, they realize the nightmare they’re living mirrors the infamous Southport Massacre — and turn to the only survivors who lived through it.

Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge), the film was co-written by Robinson and Sam Lansky, based on a story by Robinson and Leah McKendrick (M.F.A.).

The supporting cast includes Billy Campbell (The Rocketeer), Gabbriette Bechtel, Austin Nichols (The Walking Dead), Lola Tung (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story).

Original producer Neal H. Moritz returns, with executive producers Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Jackie Shenoo (Red Rocket), and Karina Rahardja (Escape Room) backing the latest chapter in the iconic slasher franchise.
