‘Bark’ Trailer Traps a Man Tied to a Tree in Tense Psychological Thriller
Dark Sky Films is set to unleash Bark, a tense, single-location psychological thriller that traps one man in a fight for survival—both physically and mentally. The film hits digital platforms on June 13.
In Bark, Nolan Bentley wakes up bound to a tree in the middle of a remote forest with no memory of how he got there. Isolated, disoriented, and running out of time, Nolan’s nightmare deepens when a shadowy figure begins watching from the woods. As reality begins to blur, Nolan is forced to confront long-buried secrets and reckon with the demons of his past—before it’s too late.
Directed by Marc Schölermann (Pathology) and written by Steve Fauquier, the film stars Michael Weston (Pathology) and A.J. Buckley (CSI: NY).
Bark is an English-language German production that had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest 2023, where it drew praise for its claustrophobic tension and psychological depth.
