In the forthcoming horror film “Tarot,” a group of friends inadvertently unleashes an unimaginable evil when they disregard the cardinal rule of Tarot readings – never utilizing someone else’s deck. The cursed cards, harboring a malevolent force, set the stage for a nightmarish journey in the Screen Gems production. As each friend confronts their destiny, a desperate race against death ensues to evade the ominous future foretold in their Tarot readings.

While the movie appears to follow the conventions of a typical teen horror flick, the unique concept holds the potential for an engaging array of supernatural entities, some of which are teased in the initial trailer.

UPDATE: Notably, artist Trevor Henderson has disclosed that he is the exclusive designer of the monsters featured in the movie. Henderson shares on Twitter, “I was asked to be the sole designer of the eight different monsters in this movie!!” He hints that only a glimpse of his favorite designs is showcased in the trailer.

Originally titled “Horrorscope,” the film is scheduled for an exclusive theatrical release on May 10, 2024. The cast includes Harriet Slater, Adain Bradley, Avantika, and Jacob Batalon.

“Tarot” is both written and directed by Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg. The production team consists of Leslie Morgenstein, Elysa Koplovitz Dutton, and Scott Glassgold as producers. Executive Producers include Andrew Pfeffer, Scott Strauss, Anna Halberg, and Spenser Cohen.
