Fallen Leaf Studios introduced the psychological sci-fi game Fort Solis earlier this year, drawing inspiration from iconic films like Alien, Solaris, Moon, and Sunshine.
Following the game’s success, it’s set to expand its universe onto the big and small screens. Deadline reports a collaboration between Fallen Leaf Studios and Sweden’s Studios Extraordinaires to craft film and TV adaptations based on the sci-fi horror game.
Fort Solis places players in the shoes of engineer Jack Leary, confronting an emergency on a remote Martian mining base. As the narrative unfolds, mysteries surrounding the crew’s fate intensify.
Studios Extraordinaires’ co-founders, André Hedetoft and Andreas Troedsson, highlighted the narrative’s lasting impact and the characters’ depth, expressing eagerness to translate the game’s gripping tale, setting, and cast to screen within the Martian landscape.
CEO Piotr Kurkowski from Fallen Leaf Studios hailed the production deal as a crucial step in their IP’s evolution, emphasizing the partnership’s potential to delve deeper into the game’s established universe.
The official launch trailer for Fort Solis offers a glimpse into the game’s immersive experience.
