There has been news regarding Friday the 13th: The Game, as of late. With the game now available for $4.99 up until December 31, 2023, and ceasing to be bought after that date to its final update for all members to be maxed out, a lot has happened these past few weeks. With a new game from a new company in the works, Gun Interactive’s license to Friday the 13th: The Game is coming to an expiration and online mode will only be playable up till December 31, 2024. After that, you can still play the game, but online in an offline mode against the bots.

As of July 6, 2023, the game has gotten its final patch and now all players are maxed out, have all 30 legendary perks, and all unlockables (Jason skins and counselors) available to play.  The only thing not unlocked is the DLC, which can be bought for 99 cents each up until December 31, 2023.  After December 31, 2023, the game itself and all DLC will no longer be sold.

As for Gun Interactive, they are plenty busy with the new game on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, which is currently available for pre-order and will be readily available to play come August 18, 2023.
