Danny and Michael Philippou, the duo behind Talk to Me, are offering a glimpse into their next horror film, Bring Her Back, calling it “harrowing, traumatic, and fun” in a newly released featurette.
The A24 release hits theaters on May 30 and promises “some fucked up shit,” according to the directors, who are known for pushing boundaries in the genre.
Co-written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman, the film follows a brother and sister who discover a disturbing ritual hidden within the secluded home of their new foster mother.
The cast includes Sally Hawkins, Billy Barratt, Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, and Stephen Phillips.
Bloody Disgusting also unveiled a new image from the film as part of its Summer Horror Preview, hinting at the eerie atmosphere to come.
Bring Her Back is rated R for strong bloody violence, disturbing content, graphic nudity, grisly images, underage drinking, and language.
