Bloody Disgusting has shared earlier an exclusive first look at The Sound, a nerve-jangling supernatural horror thriller that blends the vertigo-inducing tension of Fall with the demonic dread of Insidious—and yes, it’s just as terrifying as that sounds.
Releasing in theaters and on digital June 27 via Blue Harbor Entertainment, The Sound follows a team of elite climbers who are granted rare access to the Forbidden Wall, a towering rock formation that’s been sealed off from the public for decades. For Sean, the climb is personal—his grandfather vanished during an ill-fated expedition there 63 years earlier. But as the group ascends, they awaken something ancient and malevolent within the rock itself, turning their high-altitude adventure into a horrifying fight for survival hundreds of feet off the ground.
Check out Bloody Disgusting’s exclusive clip below—a sequence so tense and vertigo-inducing it’ll make your palms sweat and your stomach drop.
The cast includes Marc Hills, Rachel Finninger, Nicholas Baroudi (Law & Order: Organized Crime), Jocelyn Hudon (The Strain), William Fichtner (Armageddon), Christina Kirkman (All That), Jolene Kay (Bosch: Legacy), David Clennon (The Thing), and Kyle Gass (Tenacious D).
Adding a layer of realism to the harrowing climb, the film features appearances from real-world climbing legends Hazel Findlay, Brette Harrington, Adrian Ballinger, and Free Solo star Alex Honnold.
Brendan Devane (The Canyonlands) writes and directs, with an eerie, atmospheric score by Smashing Pumpkins co-founder James Iha (That ’90s Show).
You’ve never seen a haunted house movie unfold on the side of a cliff—until now.
