The Piper is back — and he wants your children. The Confession puts a chilling modern spin on the Pied Piper legend, transporting the nightmare to the quiet farmlands of rural Texas.

The film arrives Digitally on January 16 via Quiver Distribution.

The Confession follows Naomi, a recently widowed musician who returns with her young son to her childhood home after her father’s death. While exploring the attic, she discovers a cassette tape where her father confesses to a brutal murder — a killing he claims was done to protect himself from an unseen, malevolent force.

Shaken and desperate for answers, Naomi turns to an old friend. Their investigation uncovers a sinister history buried within the town — a legacy of darkness that refuses to stay hidden. Meanwhile, her son begins exhibiting unnerving behavior, suggesting the evil her father feared may now be closing in on her family.

The cast includes Italia Ricci (Designated Survivor), Zachary Golinger (A Quiet Place Part II), Scott Mechlowicz (EuroTrip), Terence Rosemore (Superman), Allie McCulloch (The Resident), and Justin Matthew Smith (Star Trek).

Written and directed by Will Canon (Demonic), with cinematography by John W. Rutland (Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension), the film draws deeply from personal roots. “I’m from a place like this. I have a young son. And I’m still trying to understand how the people who came before me shape my life today,” Canon says.

The Pied Piper myth has long haunted cinema, inspiring several films in recent years — but The Confession promises a fresh, ominous take on the story’s generational terror.

The Piper plays for blood on January 16.
