Class is in session—and failure isn’t an option—in the newly released trailer for Teacher’s Pet, a high school-set psychological thriller that turns academic ambition into a deadly trap.

The film arrives on Digital February 6 via Quiver Distribution.

Starring Michelle Torian and Luke Barnett, Teacher’s Pet also features an appearance by horror icon Barbara Crampton, adding genre credibility to its unsettling premise.

On the verge of escaping her toxic foster home and securing a future at Yale, gifted high school senior Clara believes she’s finally found a way out. That hope comes in the form of a new teacher whose mentorship seems supportive—at first. As his interest in Clara intensifies, admiration curdles into obsession.

When Clara uncovers her teacher’s connection to a series of unexplained deaths, the power dynamic shifts. Forced into a dangerous psychological duel, she must rely on her intelligence and instincts to outmaneuver a killer who views her not as a victim—but as his most promising student yet.

Teacher’s Pet is written and directed by Noam Kroll, host of the Show, Don’t Tell podcast, who also serves as the film’s cinematographer and editor. The supporting cast includes Clayton Royal Johnson, Kevin Makely, Sara Tomko, Drew Powell, Alexe-Anne Godin, Alexis DawTyne, and Richard Handley.

The film is produced by Launch Releasing founder Sheldon Brigman alongside Kroll, Handley, Kayli Fortun, and Brian Hanson. Executive producers include Barnett, Brigman, Kelby Thwaits, and Charles Bunce.

Teacher’s Pet opens its doors on February 6—just remember: in this classroom, knowledge can be deadly.
