The leak from last week wasn’t just smoke—Konami has officially confirmed that Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake is finally creeping its way onto the Xbox Series. The nightmare returns on November 21, though some lucky fans in Australia have already managed to get their hands on it early. To sweeten the long wait, the acclaimed remake is launching with a massive 50% discount, making this the perfect time to dive back into one of horror gaming’s most haunting classics.

As teased on the store page, the Xbox Series version arrives with three different editions. There’s a Deluxe Edition, loaded with a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, and a bizarre yet perfectly fitting Pyramid Head pizza box cosmetic. Players can also grab a bundle that includes the standard version of Silent Hill f, or a Deluxe Bundle that packs in both games for the ultimate dose of psychological terror.

For newcomers, Silent Hill 2 follows James Sunderland, a grieving widower who returns to the fog-drenched town after receiving a letter from his dead wife, Mary. What waits for him isn’t closure—it’s a descent into madness populated by nightmarish creatures. Among them is the iconic Pyramid Head, a hulking executioner whose presence is as suffocating as the town’s ever-present fog.

But the horror doesn’t stop there. Today also brings the official trailer for Christophe Gans’ Return to Silent Hill, giving fans their first real look at the upcoming adaptation. Starring Jeremy Irvine as James and Hannah Emily Anderson as Mary Crane, the film mirrors the game’s fractured love story. After receiving a mysterious letter from his lost love, James is pulled back into Silent Hill—a once-familiar place now swallowed by darkness. As he searches for the truth, he encounters monstrous visions and a chilling reality that threatens to break his sanity all over again.

Silent Hill 2 is also available now on Steam for PC and on PlayStation 5, giving players plenty of ways to revisit one of survival horror’s most influential nightmares.
