For the first—and last—time ever, Stranger Things is crawling onto the big screen, bringing its final showdown to theaters in a one-night-only horror spectacle. Netflix is unleashing the series finale theatrically, and seats for the special event are now up for grabs.

To mark the end of the record-breaking, monster-haunted saga, Netflix confirmed that the final episode of Stranger Things 5 will storm select theaters nationwide.

Screenings will spread across 500+ theaters in the U.S. and Canada, kicking off December 31, 2025 at 5:00pm PT and continuing through January 1, 2026, ringing in the new year with pure Hawkins-born terror.

According to Variety, fans won’t buy tickets directly. Instead, theaters will sell concession vouchers that lock in a guaranteed seat—meaning exhibitors keep all the revenue from the event. Netflix-owned theaters won’t sell tickets or vouchers, but fans can secure a spot through an RSVP list.

Reserve your place now and experience the final descent into darkness with a room full of fellow Stranger Things diehards.

The Duffer Brothers shared their excitement:
“We’re beyond excited that fans will have the chance to experience the final episode of Stranger Things in theaters — it’s something we’ve dreamed about for years… Getting to see it on the big screen, with incredible sound, picture, and a room full of fans, feels like the perfect — dare we say bitchin’ — way to celebrate the end of this adventure.”

The finale clocks in at 2 hours, 5 minutes, delivering a feature-length clash with the horrors that have been tightening their grip on Hawkins since day one.

The first four episodes of the final season are streaming now. The next three episodes arrive December 25, with the series finale hitting Netflix on December 31—right as it hits theaters.

The end is coming—and it’s arriving larger, louder, and darker than ever.
