‘The Vampire Lestat’ Targets 2026 Premiere Window

AMC’s The Vampire Lestat is preparing to take center stage, with the network officially gearing up for a summer tour in Season 3 of Interview with the Vampire.

According to TV Insider, the Emmy-nominated series will return in Summer 2026, shifting the spotlight firmly onto Sam Reid’s Lestat, who’s ready to reclaim his narrative in the most Lestat way possible.

Unhappy with how he was portrayed in the “trashy bestseller” Interview with the Vampire, Lestat decides to set the record straight — not with a memoir, but by forming a band and going on tour. The official synopsis teases a decadent, blood-soaked journey across space, time, and trauma, featuring characters both familiar and newly introduced, including Gabriella, Nicholas, Magnus, Marius, and the mysterious Those Who Must Be Kept. As AMC puts it: No Auto-Tuning. No Trigger Warnings. All Feels Amplified.

Among the new cast additions, Sheila Atim (The Woman King) has been tapped to play Akasha, the legendary vampire queen memorably portrayed by Aaliyah in 2002’s Queen of the Damned. She’s joined by Noah Reid (Schitt’s Creek), Ryan Kattner (Destroy All Neighbors), Seamus Patterson (Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities), and Sarah Swire (The Boys).

Returning for Season 3 are Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Joseph Potter, Justin Kirk, Chris Geary, and Gopal Divan.

Rolin Jones continues to serve as creator, writer, and showrunner for AMC’s expanding Anne Rice universe, with Season 3 drawing inspiration from Rice’s novel The Vampire Lestat.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Interview with the Vampire are currently streaming on AMC+ and Netflix.

A specific premiere date has yet to be revealed, but it’s only a matter of time before AMC sinks its fangs in — stay tuned.
