Mike Flanagan’s upcoming Carrie series for Prime Video is expanding its cast. Joining Summer H. Howell as Carrie White and Matthew Lillard as Principal Grayle are:

• Samantha Sloyan as Margaret White

• Amber Midthunder as Miss Desjardin

• Alison Thornton, Siena Agudong, Josie Totah, Arthur Conti, Joel Oulette, and more round out the ensemble.

Produced by Amazon MGM Studios, the eight-episode series is a modern reimagining of Stephen King’s 1974 novel. Flanagan serves as writer, showrunner, and director on select episodes alongside producer Trevor Macy.

The story follows Carrie White, a bullied high school outcast who discovers her telekinetic powers while living under the control of her fanatically religious mother.

Carrie has been previously adapted multiple times, with this new version aiming to deliver a fresh, timely take on King’s horror classic.
