‘56 Days’ Trailer Unleashes James Wan’s Erotic Thriller Series on Prime

Love, deception, and death collide in the newly released trailer for “56 Days,” a seductive new erotic thriller series produced by James Wan’s Atomic Monster.

Adapted from Catherine Ryan Howard’s bestselling 2021 novel, the eight-episode series premieres February 18 on Prime Video, streaming in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The series stars Dove Cameron (Descendants) and Avan Jogia (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City), alongside Karla Souza (How to Get Away with Murder) and Dorian Missick (Luke Cage).

“56 Days” centers on Oliver and Ciara, two strangers who meet by chance in a supermarket and quickly tumble into a dangerously intense relationship. Fifty-six days later, homicide detectives enter Oliver’s apartment and discover an unidentified body—brutally murdered and deliberately decomposed.

As the mystery unfolds, the story jumps between a single harrowing day in the present-day investigation and the twisted evolution of the couple’s affair. The result is a gripping crime narrative that doubles as a tense, psychological thriller, constantly asking: Did he kill her? Or did she kill him?

The series is created, written, and executive produced by Lisa Zwerling (ER, FlashForward) and Karyn Usher (Prison Break, Bones), who praised Howard’s novel for its irresistible mix of sex, emotion, and suspense.

James Wan executive produces alongside Michael Clear and Rob Hackett through Atomic Monster, with Danielle Bozzone overseeing for the company. Sandrine Gros d’Aillon also serves as executive producer, while Catherine Ryan Howard is on board as co-executive producer.
