‘Zombois’: Deville & Dekker Lead Undead Mayhem
Tina Romero’s Queens of the Dead proved that the undead can be proudly queer, and the upcoming horror-comedy Zombois is shambling in with the same chaotic spirit—this time with a splattery, party-punk edge.
According to Deadline, Daria Berenato (WWE’s former Sonya Deville) teams up with Tuc Watkins (The Mummy), Thomas Dekker (Heroes), Brenna D’Amico (Descendants), Adam Huss (Power), and Aaron Goldenberg for Zombois, directed by Garrett Abdo.
The film follows a crew of college seniors blowing off steam in the North Georgia mountains—until they stumble onto a tightly guarded secret and a fast-spreading contagion that transforms their chill escape into a full-tilt survival showdown.
Writer-director Garrett Abdo says, “My last film, Exit Interviews, was heavy emotional therapy, so I wanted to swing hard the other way—something wild, loud, and outrageous. Gay zombies just felt like destiny.”
Star Tuc Watkins teases the tone perfectly: “Sexy, scary, and laugh-out-loud funny—Zombois is going to be one hell of a ride. I cannot wait.”
