Luke Evans (Dracula Untold) and Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) are locked in a brutal fight for survival in the newly released trailer for Worldbreaker, a sci-fi action thriller packed with monstrous mutations and apocalyptic dread.
Directed by Brad Anderson (Session 9, The Machinist), the film hits theaters on January 30, 2026, via Aura Entertainment. Set in a shattered world, Worldbreaker introduces the Breakers—nightmarish creatures born when a catastrophic event known as The Stitch tore the earth open, infecting and mutating humans into relentless killers. Men are the most vulnerable to the infection, leaving women to lead humanity’s last stand.
The story centers on Willa, whose mother fights on the front lines while her father, a hardened war veteran, escapes the burning cities with his daughter to a remote island. There, he trains her relentlessly in combat, survival, and discipline—preparing her for the inevitable day the Breakers come. That day arrives when Willa discovers a mysterious girl washed ashore from a burning boat. Her hope for companionship quickly turns deadly when the girl’s infection exposes their hiding place.
As the island falls under siege, Willa and her father make a desperate attempt to flee, culminating in a final stand that forces Willa to confront both the horrors of the Breakers—and the legendary mother she’s only heard about. Billie Boullet (The Worst Witch) and Mila Harris (No Exit) also star. The screenplay was written by Joshua Rollins (Infinite Storm), who also serves as co-producer alongside Katy Jackson. Producing credits include Martin Brennan, Jib Polhemus, Bradley Gallo, Michael Helfant, and Tracy Mercer.
With its bleak mythology, body-horror monsters, and survivalist edge, Worldbreaker looks ready to carve out its place in post-apocalyptic sci-fi horror.
