Sometimes the danger isn’t from outside—it’s already inside your home. That’s the unsettling premise at the heart of The Other, a new supernatural horror film whose trailer just dropped ahead of its release on June 13, 2025, via Quiver Distribution on Digital and On Demand platforms.

The story follows Robin and Daniel, a couple who, after struggling for years with infertility, decide to adopt Kathelia—a mute orphan with a mysterious past. But their hopes for a fresh start quickly dissolve as strange events begin to plague their home, and Kathelia’s presence grows increasingly disturbing. As a dark force begins to tighten its grip, the family must confront an evil far more terrifying than they ever imagined.

Produced by Final Destination creator Jeffrey Reddick, The Other marks the return of Paul Etheredge, the filmmaker behind Hellbent (2004) and Angel of Death (2009). The film is described as “born from a nightmare from the mind of Paul Etheredge,” promising a twisted and atmospheric descent into supernatural terror.

The cast includes Olivia Macklin, Dylan McTee, Avangeline Friedlander, Lily D. Moore, and horror icon Shawnee Smith (Saw, The Blob). Producers also include Lisa Normand, Jeffrey Reddick, Jeff Walker, and Tim Nagle.
