Before returning as Art the Clown in Terrifier 4, David Howard Thornton is set to terrorize morgues as the titular killer in The Autopsy of Albert Kemper.

Thornton leads the psychological horror alongside Alexandra Shipp (Barbie) and Eric Stoltz (Pulp Fiction), playing out a nightmare straight from the slabs. The story follows morgue assistant Riley Shaw (Shipp), whose routine night at the facility descends into terror when the body of notorious serial killer Albert Kemper (Thornton) begins exhibiting signs of life beyond death.

Filming is underway in Minnesota, with David Benullo (Hallowed Ground) writing and directing the chilling tale. Producing are Dana Guerin, John Frank Rosenblum, Tracy Mercer, Mandy June Turpin, and Jim Strader under Epic Level Entertainment.

The film takes cues from a gruesome urban legend tied to Jeffrey Dahmer’s death—rumors claim authorities handcuffed the killer’s corpse to the gurney, fearing he might rise again. The Autopsy of Albert Kemper promises to turn that fear into a full-blown nightmare for anyone who dares enter the morgue.
