‘The Vampire Lestat’: First Clip Unveiled Ahead of June Premiere
The immortal rock star, played by Sam Reid, reacts to the release of Interview with the Vampire in the first clip from “The Vampire Lestat.”
Based on Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles, the upcoming season serves as the third installment of AMC’s Interview with the Vampire. Showrunner Rolin Jones is steering the rock-and-roll-driven chapter, which is currently slated to premiere in June, with an exact date still under wraps.
This season follows Lestat as he embarks on a high-voltage, multi-city tour while being stalked by “muses” from his turbulent past. As his band’s fame explodes, so does Lestat’s growing influence over both vampires and humans — forcing others to confront his expanding power amid the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the global vampire population.
The cast includes Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, and Jennifer Ehle alongside Reid.
Executive producers are Jones, Mark Johnson, Hannah Moscovitch, Christopher Rice, and the late Anne Rice.
Fans can already hear Lestat’s first single, “Long Face,” now streaming. The track is performed by Reid and written by series composer Daniel Hart (The Green Knight, A Ghost Story).
