How far would you go for a billion dollars? The final trailer for Edgar Wright’s The Running Man doesn’t just ask that question — it drenches it in chaos, carnage, and futuristic mayhem. Clocking in at under a minute, the teaser delivers a visceral rush of blood-soaked action and dystopian spectacle, setting the stage for one of the year’s most explosive thrillers.

From the director behind Shaun of the Dead and Baby Driver, Wright brings Stephen King’s 1982 novel (written under his Richard Bachman pseudonym) roaring back to life. Co-written with Michael Bacall (21 Jump Street, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), The Running Man hits theaters Friday, November 14, via Paramount Pictures.

Set in a near-future society obsessed with televised violence, The Running Man centers on the world’s most popular show — a brutal survival contest where “Runners” must evade professional assassins for 30 days. Each moment is broadcast live to a bloodthirsty public, and every day survived means a higher cash prize… and higher odds of dying on air.

At the heart of it all is Ben Richards (Glen Powell), a desperate working-class man who volunteers for the game to save his terminally ill daughter. But once inside, his rebellious streak and fighting instincts make him a fan favorite — and a danger to the show’s power-hungry producers. As the nation cheers for his death, Ben turns the game inside out, fighting not just for survival, but against a system built on exploitation and spectacle.

The film features a powerhouse cast including William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, Jayme Lawson, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin.

Produced by Nira Park, Simon Kinberg, and Wright himself, The Running Man promises a slick, savage reinvention of King’s vision — blending the satire of Black Mirror with the adrenaline of The Hunger Games and the grit of Mad Max: Fury Road.

The original 1987 adaptation starring Arnold Schwarzenegger has long been a cult favorite, and even the Terminator himself recently praised Wright’s version as “really fantastic.”

Brace yourself — The Running Man hits theaters November 14, and survival has never looked this bloody.
