The first trailer for The Observance has arrived, inviting audiences into a disturbing world of religious devotion turned deadly.
The award-winning indie horror thriller is set to open in select AMC theaters on February 13, 2026.
The Observance follows a woman who awakens from a five-year coma after surviving a devastating car accident — only to discover that her life has been completely hijacked. During her absence, a mysterious religious leader has taken control of her home, while her husband and daughter have fallen fully under his influence.
As she struggles to reclaim her family, she quickly realizes the nightmare extends far beyond her front door. The entire town appears to be bound to the same insidious cult, and any attempt to expose the truth puts her directly in its crosshairs. The deeper she digs, the clearer it becomes just how far the group is willing to go to protect its dark secrets.
Horror icon Ted Raimi (Evil Dead II, Candyman) stars alongside Kate Daily, Alec James, Patrick Harney, Anna Borchert, Bronsonn Taylor, Darby Cappillino, and Donald Morgan.
The film is directed by Robert Hollocks, who co-wrote the screenplay with Amy Rhinehart Bailey, and produced by Beyond Casual Media.
The Observance is rated R for bloody violence, suicide, and some language.
Outside of the film, Raimi is also set to launch an unscripted horror-focused conversation series on Screambox next year — keeping the genre legend busy well into 2026.
