Get ready for a terrifying new predator. Neville Page—the creature mastermind behind Cloverfield, Prometheus, and Star Trek—has crafted a chilling new monster for the upcoming horror-thriller The Last Time, Deadline reports.

The story centers on a cursed hourglass that can transport you back to the last moment you saw someone alive. When a grieving college swimmer hunts down the hourglass seeking closure, a predatory villain begins feeding on his grief, threatening to trap him within the twisted landscape of memory and time.

The film stars Jake Satow (The Dropout), Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers), Dominic Burgess (American Horror Story), John D’Aquino (Pumpkinhead), and Addison Bowman (Outer Range).

Shane Brady (The Endless, Synchronic) directs and co-writes, with producers Persephone Hawkins, Brandon Riley, and Emily Zercher.

“What drew me to The Last Time was the depth of what could be infused into the mythology,” Page said. “The creature emerges from both emotion and mythology. The concepts we are creating are so rich and meaningful. I’ve poured a lot of myself into this one, for the love of the story and the crew.”

Brady added, “Growing up in Tampa and telling a homegrown story, with Neville Page as our concept designer? I’m living a dream. My goal is to highlight everyone’s fingerprints on this project and share it with the world as a collaborative experience.”

Hawkins emphasized, “The Last Time explores grief in a way that feels both intimate and mythic. Shane has crafted a story that blends emotional truth with the unsettling unknown, and Neville Page’s creature design elevates the film into something truly special.”

Currently in production along the Tampa and Gulf Coast, The Last Time is being made in partnership with Film Tampa Bay, promising a homegrown horror-thriller that blends emotional depth with nightmarish visuals.
