Lou Ferrigno returns to monster territory in The Hermit, his first creature role since The Incredible Hulk. This time, the genre icon plays a cannibalistic pig farmer with a taste for human flesh. You can check out the newly released trailer below.

Described as a “dark horror tale with a quirky edge,” The Hermit is set for a Digital release on March 3 via Uncork’d Entertainment, with a Los Angeles premiere scheduled for March 2.

The film stars Malina Weissman (A Series of Unfortunate Events) and Anthony Turpel (That ’90s Show) as two self-absorbed teens reluctantly dragged on a remote woodland vacation. What begins as an annoying getaway quickly devolves into a fight for survival when they cross paths with an unstoppable pig farmer who turns his victims into homemade human jerky.

Salvatore Sclafani directs from a script by William Walkerley, with Gerry Pass producing for Chrome Entertainment alongside First Child Productions.

“I’m very excited to announce my first horror film, The Hermit,” said Ferrigno. “I’ve always been a big fan of scary movies, and I hope this one earns a spot on everyone’s must-watch list.”

Uncork’d Entertainment President Keith Leopard also teased the performance, stating, “Lou Ferrigno delivers a turn that horror fans won’t see coming. The Hermit is dark, action-packed, and wildly entertaining—exactly the kind of bold genre film our audience loves.”
