New ‘Scream 7’ Clip Dives Into the Franchise’s Killer History
The Scream franchise hits a milestone this year, celebrating 30 years of slashers, scares, and Ghostface terror, and Scream 7 promises to bring the killer legacy full circle.
This exclusive TV spot honors the franchise’s bloody history, showing how every scream, chase, and twist has led to this latest chapter—crafted by original mastermind Wes Craven and series creator Kevin Williamson.
The clip rewinds to 1996, chronicling Sidney Prescott’s relentless battle with Ghostface—now complicated by the arrival of her daughter in the upcoming sequel. Even the iconic Scream logo gets a legacy update, showing its evolution over three decades of terror.
Paramount’s Scream 7 is set to slash into theaters on February 27, 2026.
Neve Campbell returns as Sidney, taking center stage once more, joined by familiar faces David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Scott Foley, Matthew Lillard, and franchise newcomers reprising their roles from the last two installments, Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown.
Official synopsis:
“When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”
This isn’t just another copycat—this Ghostface is out to burn it all down.
Set two years after Scream VI, the film is directed by Kevin Williamson with a script by Williamson and Guy Busick (Scream 2022, Scream VI). The ensemble cast also includes Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Consuelos.
Produced by William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein, Scream 7 blends legacy characters, new blood, and pure slasher carnage, promising to deliver the most intense, meta-horror installment yet.
