‘Scary Movie 6’ Trailer: The Franchise Reboot Promises to Cross Every Line This June

Published

on

There are no safe spaces in the newly released trailer for Scary Movie 6, which officially carries the franchise’s original title, Scary Movie.

This cut features a different ending from the version that previously debuted in theaters alongside Scream 7.

Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer, the Core Four find themselves back in Ghostface’s crosshairs. When the parody returns to theaters on June 12 via Paramount, no horror IP will be safe. Watch the official trailer below.

Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite with both returning favorites and new faces to tear through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything labeled “legacy,” and every so-called “final chapter” that clearly isn’t final.

Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed — and the Wayans are back to cancel Cancel Culture.

Joining the Core Four are franchise veterans Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams.

The ensemble also includes Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, and Felissa Rose.

Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs from a screenplay by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).
