Filming has officially wrapped on Ready or Not: Here I Come, the highly anticipated sequel to 2019’s breakout horror hit. Searchlight Pictures has announced that the film will slash its way into theaters on April 10, 2026.

Directed once again by the genre-savvy team Radio Silence (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett), the sequel promises more blood-soaked thrills, sharp satire, and survival mayhem.

Samara Weaving reprises her iconic role, joined by a stacked cast that includes Kathryn Newton (Abigail), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Dexter: Original Sin), Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell (Shōgun), Elijah Wood (Yellowjackets), Kevin Durand (Abigail), and legendary filmmaker David Cronenberg in a mystery role.

The script comes from Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, who penned the original film’s wickedly clever screenplay.

“We’re thrilled to be returning to the world of Ready or Not with Samara,” said directors Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett. “And so excited to work with this immensely talented cast and the incredible artists across every department joining the Ready or Not family.”

Searchlight President Matthew Greenfield added:

“We’re beyond excited to make another film with the phenomenal Radio Silence. We get to go on another ride with the amazing Samara Weaving, mix in awesome new voices, and bring audiences a fresh take that’s every bit as twisted and fun as the first one.”

A newly released behind-the-scenes photo teases the chaos to come—stay tuned for a trailer and more carnage as the release date draws closer.

The original Ready or Not followed a bride (Weaving) caught in a deadly family ritual on her wedding night—a game of hide and seek with fatal stakes. The film was praised for its blend of horror, humor, and scathing class commentary. With its sequel promising to expand the mythos and raise the stakes, Ready or Not: Here I Come is shaping up to be one of 2026’s must-watch horror events.
