Brace yourself for terror—the teaser trailer for Primal Darkness has arrived, promising a found-footage nightmare described as The Blair Witch Project meets Bone Tomahawk.

The film follows Cole Harrington, host of a popular outdoor series, as he hunts the predator behind a string of gruesome cattle attacks in rural Nevada. The investigation takes a sinister turn when Cole discovers footage revealing the final moments of two missing university employees.

“This film pushed me into uncomfortable places,” says writer-director Dillon Brown (Tahoe Joe). “It isn’t fun. It isn’t playful. Primal Darkness is meant to unsettle you.”

Filmed in the harsh Nevada high desert last summer, production was as punishing as the story itself. The crew battled extreme conditions, treacherous terrain, and even on-set accidents. Brown, who also stars in the film, endured multiple broken bones during a risky stunt sequence, calling it “the darkest, most demanding work of my career.”

Joining Brown are Blake Hyer, Maxwell Golden, Dustin Tamplen, and Michael Rock, completing a cast prepared to survive—or die in—the desert’s unforgiving wilderness.

Primal Darkness is set to come out in Spring 2026, promising a found-footage horror experience that won’t let you sleep easy.
