In an exciting update from the Cannes market, The Coven has officially announced the highly anticipated ‘Terrifier 3,’ with worldwide sales being handled by the franchise’s filmmakers once again. Deadline broke the news earlier today, causing a stir among horror enthusiasts.

Director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone are set to return to helm the next installment in the series. While the plot is being kept under wraps, David Howard Thornton (Art The Clown) and Lauren LaVera (Sienna) are expected to reprise their roles in the film.

Production is scheduled to kick off in November or December of this year, with a planned release in late 2024.

Leone enthusiastically promises that ‘Terrifier 3’ will push boundaries even further, delivering the same uncompromising and unapologetic thrills that fans of the franchise have grown to love and celebrate. He teases, “If you thought Art the Clown’s reign of terror in Part 2 was extreme, you haven’t seen anything yet.”

Priscilla Ross Smith, the founder of The Coven, adds that ‘Terrifier 3’ will benefit from a larger budget, allowing the filmmakers the more creative freedom to explore their wild imaginations. She humorously remarks, “And, all jokes aside, we are going for that Oscar this year.”

Following the success of ‘Terrifier 2,’ known for its extreme gore and special effects, the upcoming installment aims to raise the bar even higher. The film gained national attention, with reports of audience members passing out and feeling nauseous during screenings. It was featured on Howard Stern’s show and notably mentioned in The New York Times in 2022. At the box office, ‘Terrifier 2’ amassed over $15 million worldwide.

With worldwide sales already underway, horror fans can eagerly anticipate the terrifying and blood-soaked journey that ‘Terrifier 3’ will undoubtedly deliver.
