New ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Poster Unveils Cast and Iconic Killer

Published

on

A chilling new poster for I Know What You Did Last Summer has been released, channeling the eerie vibe of the 1997 original — and warning that this time, “you get the ending you deserve.”

The legacy sequel slashes its way into theaters on July 18, courtesy of Sony Pictures.

A new generation of stars leads the cast: Madelyn Cline (Outer Banks), Chase Sui Wonders (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid), Tyriq Withers (Him), and Sarah Pidgeon (The Wilds). They’re joined by franchise veterans Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., reprising their iconic roles as Julie James and Ray Bronson.

The story follows five friends who, after a deadly car accident, choose to cover it up rather than face the consequences. But a year later, someone knows what they did—and is out for revenge. As the bodies pile up, the group uncovers a dark truth: this isn’t the first time these horrors have happened. Desperate, they seek help from two survivors of the infamous 1997 Southport Massacre.

Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge), who co-wrote the screenplay with Sam Lansky based on a story by Robinson and Leah McKendrick (M.F.A.), the film promises a blend of fresh terror and nostalgic callbacks.

The cast also includes Billy Campbell (The Rocketeer), Gabbriette Bechtel, Austin Nichols (The Walking Dead), Lola Tung (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story).

Original producer Neal H. Moritz returns, with Robinson also executive producing alongside Jackie Shenoo and Karina Rahardja.
