According to Variety, Antídoto Horror Factory is set to be established as a collaboration between Dark Star Pictures based in the United States, Mantícora from Mexico, and La Dalia Films from Spain.

This newly formed genre label aims to develop, produce, distribute, and sell a minimum of four feature films within the genre over the course of the next four years, with pre-production commencing in 2023.

Variety outlines the distribution rights breakdown, stating that Dark Star will handle the North American rights, Mantícora will oversee the Latin American territory, and La Dalia will manage the Spanish rights.

José Luis Mejía Razo, director of Mantícora, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “In a highly competitive market for small to medium distribution companies, expanding into the production side was a natural step for us to ensure top-quality content. We are delighted to initiate this alliance with La Dalia Films and Dark Star Pictures.”

Mejía Razo further added, “We are confident that the combination of each partner’s market expertise, along with the guidance of our exceptional artistic directors, will result in a production output capable of reaching broader and targeted audiences.”

Michael Repsch, President of Dark Star, conveyed excitement about their involvement in the Antídoto Horror Factory label. He affirmed Dark Star’s dedication to presenting audiences with captivating and distinct genre content from around the globe, and through this new venture, they will contribute to showcasing even more of these exciting visions on an ongoing basis.
