NEON Snatches Up Gen Z Horror ‘It Ends’ for 2026 Theatrical Release
NEON is taking the indie horror roadshow to the big screen, acquiring Alex Ullom’s genre-bending debut It Ends for a 2026 theatrical release.
Interestingly, the film is already available to watch right now via Letterboxd Video Store, the digital rental platform that launched last week. A 48-hour rental is priced at $19.99 and runs through January 9.
Written and directed by Ullom, It Ends is a full Gen Z affair, crafted by a young, daring crew making waves in the indie horror scene.
The story follows a group of recent grads on a late-night drive for one final hangout before life pulls them in different directions. But what starts as a casual ride quickly spirals into nightmare territory when they stumble onto a never-ending, two-lane hellscape filled with cosmic horrors beyond comprehension.
Trapped inside a Jeep Cherokee with miles of infinite road stretching ahead, the friends face a terrifying choice: embrace their new existence or fight to escape it.
The cast includes Mitchell Cole, Akira Jackson, Noah Toth, and Phinehas Yoon.
It Ends premiered at SXSW earlier this year and went on to win Best First Feature at the Fantasia International Film Festival.
Ullom isn’t slowing down—he’s already set to helm 4 X 4: The Event, a wild new project described as Battle Royale meets Saw meets Climax.
It Ends proves that Gen Z horror isn’t just about scares—it’s existential, relentless, and infinitely unsettling.
