Zombies just met their match—bare fists and brutal elbows—in Netflix Thailand’s first action-horror film, Ziam. The newly released trailer teases a high-octane blend of martial arts carnage and undead terror, set to premiere globally on July 9, 2025.

In a world plagued by food shortages, Ziam follows Singh, a former Muay Thai champion, as he fights his way through a zombie-infested hospital to save the woman he loves. Mark-Prin Suparat stars as the relentless fighter, joined by Nychaa-Nuttanicha Dungwattanawanich, Vayla-Wanvayla Boonnithipaisit, Johnny Anfone, Pimmada Borriruksupakorn, and Jason Young.

Directed by Kulp Kaljareuk and written by Nut Nualpang, Weerasu Worrapot, Vatanyu Ingkavivat, and Chonnatee Pimnam, Ziam stands apart by fusing traditional Muay Thai techniques with visceral zombie horror—no CGI needed. Every undead creature was brought to life using practical makeup effects for a gritty, tactile realism.

“We’ve all seen zombie movies,” Kaljareuk told Netflix, “but rarely do we see them face off against hand-to-hand combat. Muay Thai uses every part of the body as a weapon—fists, knees, elbows. We wanted that raw intensity on screen.”

The film’s title is a clever twist on “Siam,” Thailand’s former name, reimagined with a Z for zombies—signaling a national take on a global genre.

Ziam promises relentless action, blood-soaked choreography, and a fresh angle on the undead apocalypse. Watch the trailer below for a glimpse at the bone-crunching chaos to come.
