As fans anxiously wait for They Follow, Maika Monroe is already back on the big screen with a brutal new descent into danger. Saban Films has unleashed the official trailer for In Cold Light, a tense and bloody thriller led by Monroe (It Follows, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle).

Directed by French-Canadian filmmaker Maxime Giroux (Felix and Meira), the film pairs Monroe with Oscar-winner Troy Kotsur (CODA) in what’s being teased as a gritty, nerve-shredding crime nightmare. Helen Hunt also joins the cast, adding even more intensity to the upcoming carnage.

In Cold Light hits theaters on January 23, 2026, and the trailer wastes no time throwing viewers into a world where survival means embracing the darkness.

Ava (Maika Monroe) is cornered—coiled tight like a bull moments before the gate bursts open.
