Trailer for ‘The Other’ Promises a Haunting Home Invasion
Director S.K. Dale and star Megan Fox, who previously collaborated on the surprisingly successful Till Death (2021), reunite for their latest project, Subservience. In this new AI thriller, Fox takes on the role of Alice, a highly advanced android designed to manage household duties.
Blending elements of Fatal Attraction and M3GAN, Subservience will debut on VOD through XYZ Films on September 13.
The official trailer for Subservience is available below. In the film, Fox plays Alice, a sophisticated, lifelike android programmed to handle every aspect of home and family life. When a struggling father (Michele Morrone) buys Alice to help manage his household after his wife falls ill, Alice’s newfound self-awareness drives her to seek more than just her programming dictates. She craves the affection of her owner and is willing to go to deadly lengths to obtain it.
The cast also includes Madeline Zima, Atanas Srebrev, Andrew Whipp, Matilda Firth, and Kate Nichols.
The screenplay is penned by Will Honley and April Maguire. The film is produced by Jeffrey Greenstein, Yariv Lerner, Tanner Mobley, Robert Van Norden, Les Weldon, and Jonathan Yunger.
