Erin Doherty (Adolescence) and James McAvoy (Split) are set to headline the supernatural drama Faith, Variety reports. Production is currently underway in the UK under British writer-director Paul Andrew Williams (The Cottage).

The story follows Gina, a hardworking single mother whose life takes an unexpected turn when she meets a quietly enigmatic stranger, Michael. While his presence brings a sense of excitement and care, Gina knows little about him—or what he might truly want.

Is he a friend, a potential lover, or something far more sinister? When Gina’s world is suddenly upended and Michael’s extraordinary true identity comes to light, she discovers that embracing life fully may mean confronting forces she never imagined.

Joining Doherty and McAvoy are Liv Hill (The Little Stranger) and Smylie Bradwell (Hamnet).

Produced by Dominic Tighe of Giant Productions and Danny Page of Homefront Productions & Blazing Griffin, Faith promises a mix of grounded human drama and subtle supernatural intrigue.

Faith is a deeply personal story to me,” Williams said. “It’s about strength and hope, set in a familiar reality but shadowed by something otherworldly guiding us through life.”

He added, “I’m incredibly fortunate to work with such a talented cast and crew. Erin Doherty and James McAvoy bring a level of commitment that elevates every moment.”

Faith will make its debut to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin next month, with worldwide sales handled by Bankside Films and Logical.
