In order to create Festival of the Living Dead, a new horror film based on George Romero‘s famous zombie film, Jen & Sylvia Soska (Rabid, American Mary) have teamed up with Tubi.

According to Deadline, the movie based on the first Night of the Living Dead will star Camren Bicondova (Gotham) and Ashley Moore (I Know What You Did Last Summer).

It has been more than 50 years since the first zombie attack from Night of the Living Dead, and the horrifying incident has turned into a source of morbid nostalgia, according to Festival of the Living Dead. Ash (Moore) and her friends go to the Festival of the Living Dead in search of entertainment.

A burst of radioactive space dust, however, causes the festival to be interrupted, forcing the attendees to defend themselves or risk being eaten by the living dead.

Festival of the Living Dead, which is anticipated to bite into Tubi this Fall, also stars Andre Anthony (The Night Agent), Christian Rose, Shiloh O’Reilly, Gage Marsh (You Me Her), Keana Lyn Bastidas (The Hardy Boys), and Maia Jae Bastidas (Rabbit Hole).

The script was written by Miriam Lyapin and Helen Marsh.
