At Gore Culture, we live for films that push limits and spill blood in all the right ways—and Martijn SmitsMeat Kills does exactly that. The first Dutch horror movie ever slapped with an NC-17 rating, Meat Kills is now streaming exclusively on Screambox, ready to shred your nerves and your sanity.

Bloody milestones are our thing, and after Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3 became the highest-grossing Unrated theatrical release in history, we’re hungry for more carnage. And Meat Kills delivers: gore, brutality, and a full-on assault on your senses..

A Bloody Mission Gone Wrong

The plot starts with idealistic intent but devolves into utter nightmare. Animal rights activist Mirthe and her crew target a pig farm—but the farmer’s family fights back. What follows is a relentless chain of violence, revenge, and grotesque horror that will leave you squirming in your seat.

Meat Kills premiered at Fantastic Fest 2025 and earned critical praise from Dread Central, which called it, “Nasty, mean cinema is back, baby.” The review continued, “Meat Kills is a European extreme horror classic in the making, joining the ranks of Calvaire, High Tension, and Frontier(s). It’s a harrowing look at human cruelty disguised as virtue—a film that doesn’t just shock, it digs under your skin.”

Shade Studios added, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie as nihilistic and ugly as Meat Kills. The kills are brutal, the practical effects top-tier. Guts, gore, tension, and terror—you can’t look away, and you’ll never guess what comes next.”

Nothing is Safe. No One Survives.

The cast is a who’s-who of Dutch horror talent: Caro Derkx, Sem Ben Yakar, Sweder de Sitter, Emma Josten, Derron Lurvink, Bart Oomen, Chardonnay Rillen, Juliette van de Weerdt, and Tommy Zonneveld.

Written by Paul de Vrijer and directed by Martijn Smits, Meat Kills is a masterclass in extreme horror. Watch it on Screambox… if you dare.
