Dark Sky Films has unleashed the unnerving trailer for Dooba Dooba, a found footage horror shot entirely on in-home security cameras and steeped in the analog horror style popularized by YouTube creators.

Could this be the next breakout in found footage terror? The film hits select theaters and Digital on January 23.

Set nearly a decade after her brother’s murder, 16-year-old Monroe still requires a babysitter. Enter Amna, who quickly realizes this is no ordinary night. Not only is Monroe constantly monitored by security cameras, but Amna must say “dooba dooba” whenever she moves through the house—letting Monroe know she’s nearby.

As the evening unfolds, Amna grows increasingly unnerved, while Monroe becomes eerily attached, blurring the lines between childhood innocence and something far darker.

The cast includes Amna Vegha, Betsy Sligh, Winston Haynes, Erin O’Meara, and Billy Hulsey.

Ehrland Hollingsworth writes, directs, and produces, with Vegha, Sligh, and Josh Harris also on board as producers.

Dooba Dooba has already racked up festival acclaim, taking Best Feature at Nightmares Film Festival and Best Horror Film at Midwest WeirdFest, along with honors from Panic Fest, Unnamed Footage Festival, Another Hole in the Head, and Central Florida Film Festival.

Get ready for a chilling, voyeuristic horror experience that proves even the most familiar home can feel terrifying.
