‘Dangerous Animals’ Sneak Peek: Silence Turns Deadly on Captain Tucker’s Vessel

Summer just turned blood-red with the arrival of Dangerous Animals, the latest deep-sea nightmare from director Sean Byrne (The Loved Ones, The Devil’s Candy), now swimming into theaters as of June 6.
Bloody Disgusting’s exclusive clip offers a first look at the film’s harrowing setup, as Hassie Harrison (Yellowstone) wakes up chained to a bed aboard Captain Tucker’s fishing vessel—and quickly realizes she’s not the only prisoner.
Also starring Jai Courtney (The Suicide Squad), Josh Heuston (Heartbreak High), and Ella Newton, Dangerous Animals drops viewers into a claustrophobic maritime hell where the biggest predator isn’t what’s lurking beneath the waves—it’s the man at the helm.
“Trapped on a killer’s boat with hungry sharks circling below, a surfer must outwit a predator more dangerous than the ocean itself,” teases the official synopsis. “Will she escape, or become the next offering to the deep?”
Courtney plays Captain Tucker, a sadistic figure whose imposing physicality and twisted routine make him a standout villain.
“He fully got in the head of all of that psychologically,” Byrne said of Courtney. “He’s physically very intimidating… like working with Mike Tyson. He’s just so strong—this massive unit.”
Written by Nick Lepard, the film was produced by Brouhaha Entertainment, LD Entertainment, Oddfellows Entertainment, and Range Media Partners.
