‘Creep 3’ Is Coming: Duplass & Brice Promise a Disturbing Final Chapter
As The Creep Tapes prepares to drop its second season on Shudder this November 14, the creators behind the found-footage cult nightmare have finally confirmed it:
Yes, Creep 3 is happening.
And it’s going to be the last time we meet Josef… probably.
“We will make a Creep 3,” said Patrick Brice at Fantastic Fest. “But we want it to be a defining end of a sentence. It should be something that closes things up.”
Brice and Mark Duplass aren’t looking to just toss out another sequel — they’ve been sitting on the third entry ever since Creep 2 left fans begging for more. The hesitation? Living up to the eerie intensity and intimate horror that made the first two films such brutal mind trips.
“We were a little paralyzed after Creep 2,” Duplass admits. “The fans connected with it so deeply — we didn’t want to return unless we could match or outdo what came before.”
In the meantime, The Creep Tapes has been their playground for pure experimental dread. The series format lets them push the boundaries of what the Creep universe can be — weirder, looser, more unpredictable.
“There’s more chaos in the show than the movies,” Duplass explains. “When you’re working in 30-minute bursts, you can get risky. Different styles, different stories — it’s freeing.”
The Creep Tapes: Season 2 – More Tapes, More Terror
The upcoming six-episode season of The Creep Tapes continues digging through the vault of one of horror’s most uncomfortable killers — the master of manipulation, boundary-pushing awkwardness, and unpredictable violence. If you’ve ever wanted a deeper look inside the head of a charming, camera-loving psychopath… here you go.
Starring Duplass and directed by Brice, the season explores more of the killer’s recorded trophies, where every awkward encounter hides a deadly reveal.

So When Is Creep 3 Coming?
No date yet — but with Season 2 dropping and the duo publicly committing to a finale, it’s safe to say the final chapter is creeping closer.

Josef’s not done with us yet.
Stay tuned — and keep filming.
