‘Closed Set’: Jamie Lee Curtis to Produce Twisted Psychological Thriller
Jamie Lee Curtis is diving into producing again with Closed Set, a new psychological thriller she describes as “about an intimacy coordinator who goes rogue, and it becomes like Fatal Attraction,” in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Curtis is developing the project alongside filmmaker Russell Goldman, who made his feature debut with the paranoid thriller Sender. While it’s not yet clear if Curtis will appear on-screen in Closed Set, she currently co-stars in Sender, which premieres this weekend at SXSW.
In Sender, Britt Lower (Severance) plays a woman descending into paranoia after receiving a series of unnerving, personalized packages from a mysterious sender—an unsettling journey that showcases Goldman’s flair for tension and psychological suspense.
Curtis and Goldman previously collaborated on the unproduced eco-horror project Mother Nature for Blumhouse, which proved too costly to make at the time. Curtis has expressed interest in revisiting that project with Goldman directing in the future, proving the duo’s continued dedication to pushing horror and thriller boundaries.
Closed Set marks another entry in Jamie Lee Curtis’s growing portfolio of producing horror and thriller projects, keeping her at the forefront of genre storytelling both on and off-screen.
