‘Bury Me When I’m Dead’ Trailer Promises a Nightmarish Descent into the Mind

A man’s broken promise spirals into supernatural torment in Bury Me When I’m Dead, a psychological horror thriller hitting VOD on July 18 in the U.S. and July 28 in the U.K. via Vertical Entertainment.

Marking the feature debut of writer-director Seabold Krebs, the film draws inspiration from cult classics like Possession and Jacob’s Ladder, promising an unsettling blend of emotional trauma and spectral dread.

The story centers on Henry, whose world unravels after his wife Catherine is diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. In her final days, the couple retreats to her rural childhood home, where Henry swears to honor her dying wish—to be buried in the surrounding forest. But Henry is harboring a secret: their close friend Rebecca is pregnant with his child.

When Catherine dies suddenly, Henry breaks his promise and brings her body back to the city to avoid conflict with her powerful father, Gary. Guilt-ridden and paranoid, Henry begins to suspect that Catherine’s spirit is haunting him from beyond the grave. As terrifying events escalate, Henry becomes convinced that something—or someone—is out for revenge.

With his sanity fraying and danger closing in, Henry takes desperate steps to shield himself, Rebecca, and their unborn child from a threat that may not be entirely of this world.

The cast includes Devon Terrell (It’s What’s Inside), Charlotte Hope (Game of Thrones), Makenzie Leigh (Salem’s Lot), Mike Houston (Orange Is the New Black), Richard Bekins (Limitless), and Roxanne Hart (Highlander).
