John Rhys-Davies Faces Cosmic Terror in ‘Bone Keeper’ Trailer
Get ready to descend into darkness with the trailer for Bone Keeper, a British cosmic horror that mixes Lovecraftian dread with The Descent-style claustrophobia.
Written and directed by Howard J. Ford (The Dead), the film begins when a cosmic fireball crashes into a remote woodland, awakening a terrifying creature hidden deep underground. In 1976, James Wheeler ventures into a cave to uncover the truth—and vanishes, leaving behind only a single frame of Super 8 film showing a horrifying silhouette.
Decades later, Wheeler’s granddaughter and a team of five explorers enter the same cave to investigate the legend of the Bone Keeper. But deep in the darkness, the hunters quickly become the hunted. Can they survive the creature and uncover the truth, or will they join the list of missing souls?
The cast includes Sarah Alexandra Marks, Louis James, Tiffany Hannam-Daniels, and John Rhys-Davies (The Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones).
Bone Keeper premieres at FrightFest Glasgow next month before a UK digital release on April 6 via Plaion Pictures. A U.S. release has not yet been announced.
Howard J. Ford’s upcoming projects include The Dead 3, the conclusion to his zombie trilogy co-created with brother Jon Ford, and The Hatchery, a survival horror starring Terrifier’s Jenna Kanell.
